Recently, I decided to try something new and different. As a Colorado native/ resident my entire life,
I thought I had seen all the beauty Colorado had to offer.
I was wrong.
 
At the urging of a close pal, I decided to contact a group called Advance Your Adventure.
The group offers self guided and custom tours around Colorado that are really cool and nothing like I've ever done before.
 
I selected one of the mountain adventure tour packages. I was completely stunned by the gorgeous tour we were able to experience.
Giant sun lit mountain peaks as a backdrop to running rivers, caked with pristine white snow caking a beautiful river snaking along backwoods, on a dirt road
fit for 1.5 vehicles at a time.
 
We encountered a small “ghost town” which included a very old, abandoned hotel which appeared to host perhaps 12 people max.
The trail has an intriguing history/story, of drama from possibly the horse and buggy era.

While we did not see a bear, I’m certain they have plenty in these hills. Others such as deer and moose call the area home as well.
The river running next to our drive trail is crystal clear and based on paw prints in the snow along the river, I’m certain there is plenty
of tasty fish to be had by four legged hunters.

I plan to engage this, and many other adventures with AYA, this Spring and Summer.
